Christmas is most people's favorite time of year. Personally, I enjoy the opportunity to yank out the glue gun and get a bit crafty. This year the whole process was a group effort (hey Mo) and I'm actually proudest of how this year's tree and garlands worked out. All items were sourced at PINK MONGOOSE, EUREKA, BIG DEAL DOLLAR STORE, & Home & Office Depot.
The starfish, sand dollars and mesh ribbon are covered in glitter. It seemed like a great idea until I ended up scratching my cornea when some douchebag piece of glitter got in my eye! I'm using my first fake tree in years- so I bought some pine scented oil so that I can still get that great smell in the house.
not the best pic of the garlands... but the dogs are in every other shot. They can't seem to quit staring at them.... very odd. The garlands have got small seahorses and clams hanging from them, and the dogs are fascinated (it doesn't take much apparently) - so I hope one of them doesn't get the brilliant idea to swallow one- I can't handle the vet bill. LOL.
Wreaths and decorating the house are good group projects to do with your significant other too.... and we have started our own annual tradition of making the wreath for his door... I think it will make a cool DIY post. Stay tuned for that one!
Christmas can get a bit hectic- between arrivals at Birkenstock, functions at Turner's and the Christmas family get togethers, so my posts will not be as regular. If I don't manage to update for a while, let me wish you all a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2011.
Thanks for coming on this crazy blogging ride with me!
xx
