I was on cashier duty with the bf as bodyguard (see his arm peeking through mine in the last pic?...LOL) and he was a great relief cashier HAHA, so I tried to dress for the heat... and the need to run around .... a lot. I could barely get up this morning... SIGH

So I wore/carried:

Money bag- (LOL) Benetton

Tunic - The Little Starfish- check us out in Redcliffe Quay (LOL)

Hat- Inizio

 
 loved her little floral dress

 
mom n daughter- great shot - more preciousness to follow

 

 

 

I was stationed at Turner's stall, and the most popular item was coming out of these frying pans- fritters. CONCH, CRAB, FISH. There was a long wait- but nobody complained so I guess they were worth it.

Oh Cherry, Oh Cherry, Oh Baby!

 
 How many of you guys know that the roads leading to Shirley Heights are lined with caribbean cherry trees?

On Sunday a random "ice-cream run" turned into a cherry-picking fest when I noticed that we were passing trees laden with the little fruits.

 

For those of you who may scoff at the little cherry, I'll have you know it packs quite a punch.

The tropical acerolas/ wild crapemyrtle/ malpighia punicifolia L have extremely high levels of Vitamins A and C : 8 times as much vitamin A and 32 times as much vitamin C as an orange.

 

I'll be making cherry juice!

Happy Birthday to my #1 guy :-)

Last Thursday was my dad's birthday. He's been retired twice in the last 16 years- he famously said he intended to be done with the world of work before he hit 45- and he did it. I think he was too bored to stay at home, so he "un-retired" himself a year later while I was in university. Dad finally opened his own cockpit door, grabbed a beer and slid out of work a few years ago. He bought a boat and spends all his time fishing.

I love all the fishes and the smiling crabs are so cute. ^_^

(yes, I know I look messy... haha... my dress was cute though)

Dad said he had no idea we were planning a surprise party- which I find impossible to believe- the man shares his birthday with Miss Cleo the psychic.
